The PTI wish to celebrate schools that share our values; we believe long-term commitment to embedding The PTI philosophy into educational practice creates real impact. We want to recognise the courage and initiative of schools who empower inspirational teaching and subject specific pedagogy.

"St. Thomas of Canterbury RCP School has been a member of the Bolton PTI hub for the past 5 years. The PTI believes that all children, irrespective of background or ability, deserve a rich subject- based experience at school and this is a belief that our school shares. One of the main reasons for joining the hub, and continuing to be a part of it, are the opportunities for our teachers to have access to experts in different subject areas sharing their passion, knowledge and expertise.

Each year, we continue to invest in the professional development of our staff. Sending our teachers on the three-day training events, organised through The PTI, have been invaluable as the training has been tailored to the needs of the schools within our hub. Our teachers have been inspired by the experts leading these days and have taken ideas, resources and renewed energy back to our children which has had a positive impact on their learning and engagement of different subjects.

Furthermore, this has facilitated collaboration with our schools in the hub to develop projects and share resources. We are currently focusing on local fieldwork in geography for our hub and we are excited at the prospect of being able to share our different school grounds along with planned activities for the different environments."
